We are visiting the Serbian province of Vojvodina in our tour. Our first stop is an historical small town. after an hour journey, we arrive at the town of Sremski Karlovci (Karlofca). This small town was an important place in history.
The first Serbian secondary and high school was established here, and until 1922 it was the center of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The city council, the Catholic Church, the Fountain of the Four Lions are other important works we will see. The town has an important place in Ottoman history as well. We will visit the Peace Chapel where the Karlowitz Agreement signed in 1699.
Sremci Karlovci also has its unique wine names as “Bermet”. We will visit a local winery to taste it. After we finish at winery, we are departing for Petrovadin Castle. (Preferebly we may have a luch here, with wonderful view of Novi Sad from castle).
We continue to Novi Sad second biggest city in Serbia. This nice city was home of Albert Einstein for a short time during WW2. Our guide will escort you through the city center. Svetozar Miletić Monument, Name of Mary Church, Saint George’s Cathedral, and Novi Sad Synagogue are some of the places we visit. About an hour free time for our guests. Departure for belgrade.
